Tanzanian authorities are questioning crypto fund manager Joseph Isaac McCann after the death of his fiancée, U.S. social media influencer Ashly Robinson, during a trip to Zanzibar. Police said McCann’s passport has been confiscated while the investigation remains ongoing. He has not been charged.

Robinson, who was also known online as Ashlee Jenae, died on April 9 after she was found unresponsive at a hotel in Zanzibar. Police said the couple had first checked into one hotel before moving to another, where staff reported signs of domestic conflict and later placed them in separate rooms.

AP reported that hotel staff said the couple had been arguing repeatedly before they were separated on April 8. Hours later, Robinson was found unresponsive in a closet with a belt around her neck and was taken to the hospital, where she died the following day.

Police in Tanzania have said the investigation is continuing and that medical and forensic reports are still pending.
