Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin sold 3,788.57 ETH over the past three days, worth roughly $7.3 million at prevailing prices, according to on-chain tracking shared by Lookonchain. The sales came during a softer stretch for Ether, which has been hovering around $1,800 after sliding over the past week as the broader crypto market consolidated.

Lookonchain said the wallet labeled vitalik.eth was the source of the transactions. The transfers extend a pattern of founder-linked ETH sales that traders closely monitor, as large, identifiable wallets can influence short-term sentiment even when the amounts are small relative to total supply.

Buterin-linked transfers in prior periods have sometimes been associated with donations or ecosystem funding, while other movements have been routine asset management.

Despite the latest selling, wallets attributed to Buterin remain substantial. Arkham Research previously estimated his on-chain ETH holdings at hundreds of thousands of ETH, suggesting the recent sales represent a small slice of his broader balance.
