NYSE Removed Position Limits on Crypto ETF Options: the US Derivatives Market Is Now Fully Open
NYSE Arca and NYSE American became the final major US options exchanges to eliminate the 25,000-contract position and exercise limits for spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF options, completing a process that began with Nasdaq’s removal of equivalent limits in February 2025 and continued with Cboe’s filing earlier in March 2026.
