The Ethereum Foundation has set a December 2029 deadline to make Ethereum resistant to potential quantum computing attacks, giving the blockchain a head start before quantum machines could threaten existing cryptographic systems. The target covers critical parts of Ethereums infrastructure, including transaction processing, validator security and data storage.
